Sold to the Apton family in the summer of 2023, Max and his wife, Nicole, are only the third family to have the fortune of calling themselves owners of this beautiful nursery. Shortly after welcoming their first child, Romy, in May of 2023, the Aptons set about breathing fresh life into Bedford Nursery.

Coming from a background in agriculture and landscape design, Max had a vision for creating a garden center that was a destination. A place you could come sip a coffee, stroll meticulously maintained garden beds, buy farm fresh produce and, of course, go plant shopping.

With the completion of the new sales building in spring of 2025, the rebirth of Bedford Nursery into Bedford Farms was complete. Bedford Farms is a culmination of years of planning, love and support of family and the fruits of a supportive local community rooting for the success of small, local business.
